My name is Michael Murphy, I’ve been active in both live and online poker since 2005.  While not having grown up with the game, my passion for the game came instantly after a short low limit career playing blackjack in Lake Tahoe.  Living in the Reno/Tahoe area and playing low limit no limit professionally for those years cemented poker as a way of living to me, and when I moved back to the midwest I started to gravitate towards more and more online poker.

As things became tough for US players, I found myself feeling a bit fed up in how players were supported and treated by some poker sites.  These feelings and my natural tendency to speak up about it eventually landed me via google at a Poker Affiliates forum, where I jumped in feet first and never looked back.

While I’m not a major player in the online poker affiliate industry, I manage a network of successful poker and gambling sites on a variety of subjects.  I started as a rakeback affiliate, and still manage multiple rakeback sites – but have mostly shifted towards promoting to the European market which tends to be less about rakeback, and more about poker deposit bonuses and loyalty and VIP programs.

As much as I love being an online poker affiliate, I am also a family man.  I have a beautiful woman at my side, and we live in a modest home with our son and dog.  I enjoy wakeboarding, downhill skiing in the winter, and playing poker.  Soon I will post some of my websites here, and use this page to update some of our future plans – but for now I have some poker affiliate related work to do.

I think if I want to call myself a success, I should probably also consider posting some of my own projects and their current status.  If nothing else, it will provide me with a check and balance in case I am not being productive enough.

Poker Deposit Options:  After purchasing this website in June 2008 (very early in my poker affiliate career) I actually just let it sit for awhile.  I was focused on being a rakeback affiliate and mostly bought this site for the earning affiliate accounts that came with it.  Over time, I started to see the value in promoting this website so we’ve been trying hard to turn it into a quality resource.  Very simple and text based, I’d like to think I’m already the authority site on this subject – but we do have a long ways to go if it really is to become the all encasing legitimate “brand name” I intend for it to be.

Related Projects:  I thought I would be a lot further along that I already am on this website, but we ran into some roadblocks when developing our centralized CMS that not only runs this website, but also our sportsbook, casino deposit, and blackjack deposit bonus websites along with 100 others.  I own around 95 domains in this niche field, and at some point we’ll use them all to a varying degree.

Rakeback Deals – SmartRakeback was the site not meant to become a site.  I set this site up quickly to test a potential partners committment and reliability in building a poker affiliate site.  As expected he failed and dissapeared, but this site has become a decent player in the serps.  It really needs a redesign and some added content, as well as some over all TLC.

I have dozens of projects, several of them I don’t discuss publicly with anyone as I’d like what I’m really doing to be kept under the radar for a couple more months   I will however, try to post some more of our projects here to keep a virtual whiteboard and myself in check.
