MyPokerCorner is a reputable poker site, featuring poker strategy sections and an introduction to online poker training in general. I watched a unique video on how to play texas holdem that I would happily refer to a friend asking about the rules of game. Personally I get kind of tired of teaching friends and family holdem and not everyone likes to read books (some are also visual learners) so this is a great resource to be able to link out to a friend via email, instant messenger, or even facebook.

Online Poker Strategy

The strategy section of MyPokerCorner.com is extensive, and laid out in an organized manner. General poker concepts features rules and terms, including a how to play guide for Full Tilt’s all new Rush Poker Game.

Since My Poker Corner focuses on poker in general, and not just online poker games, it’s nice to see a strategy section dedicated to playing online poker itself – as it really is a different beast compared to live poker games.

Other general poker strategy sections include a tournament poker strategy section, sng specific strategy, bankroll tips, and even a poker math section. I also ran into a cool section called “one minute poker tips” with a dozen or more short but helpful tips for playing poker successfully, this was a cool section – an example is the one minute tip about not playing too many hands in holdem.

Online Poker Rooms

The other main section of MyPokerCorner deals with online poker rooms and does a good job of helping visitors decide which online poker room to play at. Poker rooms that offer rakeback is one subsection, and leads to a detailed guide of how to get rakeback at an online poker room, and which poker rooms offer rakeback deals. All major rooms are covered, with room specific details and easy signup instructions for players excited to get rakeback.

The US poker rooms sectons covers several of the most popular online poker rooms that accept US players. Readers can easily click out and signup at a new room, and current bonus codes are listed and easy to find. For more discerning players, each poker room has a detailed review with clear indications about promotions, bonuses, and whether the room offers rakeback or not. The individual reviews are comprehensive, including detail about the card rooms rake charges and fees, deposit bonus clearing requirements, and deposit/withdrawal methods accepted. I would feel pretty confident acting on recommended poker rooms from this poker website. Check out the Doyles Room review for a good example.

Summary

MyPokerCorner.com is a great online poker website, I’d especially want to show someone this poker website who might be thinking about transitioning from live poker to maybe giving online poker for real money a shot. I didn’t even get a chance to cover other sections like the poker tools and promotions sections, but I reccomend my readers do. I also really like the design of this website, especially the logo – I think it’s really sleek.

Gamesblackjack.org is a thorough comprehensive guide for those who want to acquire a good understanding of the game. This online blackjack site is informative for all readers ranging from the beginner to advanced blackjack players. On the left hand side of the page lists the navigation of the website, which is easy to follow and well organized so I could easily find the pages I wanted to read. The main sections that caught my attention were the variations of blackjack, card counting systems, strategy, professional blackjack players profile’s. The well-layed out design also makes it easy to find information quickly. There is even a great article about Risk Of Ruin Playing Blackjack Games.

Practice Online With Play Money Blackjack Games

Casual visitors wanting to play an actual blackjack game can play for “fun money” right on the home page of GamesBlackjack.org – and unlike some other software I’ve used the play is really smooth and a lot of fun, plus playing for fun I didn’t hesitant to bet $500 a hand since it was just for play money anyways. I’d say this is a great way to practice any blackjack game variation without risking any real money, and knowing that it’s right here and available on this blackjack website, I am also likely to bookmark and visit again.

Blackjack Card Counting Systems
This blackjack website has an extensive guide to learning how to count cards at blackjack, legitimate guide I would equate to buying a book at Barnes and Noble – quality information backed up with reputable sources. Several different counting and betting systems are included with accurate information in an easily navigated structure similar to reading an actual book. I recommend bookmarking this section as a source to refer back later.

Blackjack Game Variations

GamesBlackjack.org has more game variations than are easily found at live casinos, which makes it a great resource for aspiring online players – especially when considering depositing real money. As I previously mentioned the best part of this section is actually getting to Play Free Blackjack Games live on site.

Summary
GamesBlackjack.org is one of the best blackjack sites I’ve seen in terms of well organized and accurate information, especially recently. Aside from all the information I tried to include above this blackjack website also has great information on playing online blackjack, free blackjack, blackjack odds, and rules and etiquette. I recommend bookmarking it for anyone interested in learning more about blackjack games.

CasinoShark.com is a great looking casino website that reviews the Best Online Casinos for real money players. There is tons of casino games covered throughout the site, certainly all the most popular online casino games. Each game variation has its own section that details basic strategy and rules of how to play each game.

There is no pushy advertisements on the CasinoShark.com website, and each topic is easy to find with simple user friendly navigation. The quality of information provided on each page shows the webmaster takes pride in providing honest reliable information to visitors interested in playing at online casinos, especially real money players.

Play Free Casino Games Online

Casino Shark has a ridiculous amount of free casino games that can be played right on their website, I’ve seen casino sites have 1 or 2 free games before but CasinoShark.com has over 50 free money / play money casino game variations including over 20 slot machine games and all the popular table games like Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, LetitRide, Pai-Gow, and Blackjack. Visitors can even play free bingo, which I think is awesome! The great thing about playing the games at Casino Shark is they are just play money, so no risk is involved.

Casino Reviews

Casino Shark offers over 30 online casino reviews, in alphabetical order. Each review page rates the software, game selection, depositing and account funding, average payout percentages, and info for players wishing to contact support for help answering any questions. The scannable information on each review page also shows players screenshots of popular games and indicates software compatibility (mac, linux, windows) as well as accepted currencies and which software each casino uses.

All of the casino reviews present players with an honest reccomendation and info without being pushy or spammy – I would definately bookmark this website to check back for a quick review check before signing up at a new casino site myself. For examples of great review pages check out Rushmore Casino Review and my favorite place to play Millionaire Casino Review for more information.

Summary

Casino Shark is one of the better casino review sites I’ve ever seen, I especially enjoyed the free games section personally. The webmaster also maintains current casino and gambling related news, and extensive basic strategy guides for every casino game. I’ve bookmarked this site for future reference and I reccomend my visitors do too, it’s nice to see honest well written online casino reviews site with the player in mind.

Being a Mac owner myself I find MacSlots.com a great resource about Mac Compatible Slots and the online casinos that offer real money slot games that work on a Macintosh. The website itself is clean looking and easy to navigate – including an about us page that lets me know I’m not dealing with a big companies advertising hub, this tells me I can probably trust the information presented on this online slots website.

Mac Slots is laid out in a few helpful sections – basically covering the common questions about the safety of playing slots online for real money, where the best casinos are to play slots on a mac, as well as a section about casino bonuses that are Mac friendly.

Mac Slots Casino Reviews – As a player I was glad to see only the five best casinos for Mac slots players listed and reviewed on this website, seeing that confirms my belief that I’m safe depositing at any of the online casinos reccomended on this website and not a page full of paid advertisements.

The Mac casino review pages themselves are extremely detailed and thorough, it is obvious that whoever wrote the reviews had experienced the slots games themselves and also offered a lot of helfpul information about topics such as funding your player account with real money, and also a list of other casino games that work on a mac at each particular online casino site. I especially enjoyed the Bodog Mac Slots review.

Mac Slots Game – the coolest thing about this Mac slots sites is that I was able to play a practice game of “fruit frenzy” directly on my Imac, which is a great way to play a slots game online and checking out the software before depositing money. I played a session for about 15 minutes while writing this and just about broke even.

Summary

Mac slots offers users a great guide to an easy way to play online slots on a Mac, I reccomend bookmarking it for future reference instead of trusting a big corporate website to tell you the truth about real money online slots. It’s a great website already and the webmaster seems committed to providing reliable and honest information to readers.

BonusPokerReview.com Website Review

Bonus Poker Review is a great resource for online poker players looking for current information on the best promotions and bonuses available to real money players. Knowing that a lot of the big poker portals are really trying to push players into the poker rooms that pay them the most for referring players, I had a good look at Kevin’s Poker Bonus site before writing this review. I was impressed at the personal approach taken in the reccomendations given to players before depositing real money into an online poker site.

Bonus Poker Review is a nice looking poker website that most importantly is easy to navigate. I can quickly find the information I’m looking for – plus I see three reputable poker sites I can click out and sign up at right away in case I was just looking for a quick poker bonus recommendation. In case I’m a visitor looking for a lot of detail, I can easily click on “poker room reviews” or “poker bonus reviews” for more specific pages on the poker rooms I want to get a bonus at. The home page also gives me a great explanation of what a poker bonus is in the first place, and why I might want one – along with some answers to commonly asked questions about poker bonuses in general.

Poker Room Reviews – Kevin’s poker bonus website covers 11 of the most popular websites, 7 of which accept US players. Full Tilt is the #1 poker bonus recommendation which is warranted in my opinion. I especially like the fact that the webmaster explained the process used to decide which poker rooms deserve to be listed and the variables used in that decision making process. Clicking any link in the top poker site list takes me to a more detailed review specific to the poker site I’m interested in.

Poker Bonus Reviews – This page is a lot like the poker room reviews page naturally, a quick navigation to the poker room I want more information about. Each of the poker bonus review pages explain clearly how to get the bonus, which code to use, and what the clearing requirements are. I personally prefer signing up through a poker bonus site like this than a page with a lot of advertisements on it.

Current Poker Promotions – In my eyes this is the best section on Bonus Poker Review – it gives me a reason to come back and keep an eye on which poker site is offering me the best value for my money. Most of the major satellite promotions are covered, especially to the 2010 WSOP.

Summary – In my opinion Bonus Poker Review is a quality resource for real money poker players, anyone should feel secure using their website to pick a new bonus. Other sections on the website include:

Best US Poker Rooms

Best Canadian Poker Rooms

Bankroll Building Tips

Online Poker Beginners Strategy

In my never ending, ADD, often OCD pursuit of money and commissions – I decided to try pursuing a few non gaming markets to see what comes of it. Pole Dancing Poles are becoming a hot item for fun at bachelor parties, bedroom parties, and just plain old party parties – so we’re trying that. Hell, being the domainer I am I better start a site about Stripper Poles too huh?

I’ll let everyone know how it’s going in a few months, the commissions are small in the $30 a sale range but there is potential to wholesale these things for like $150 a sale (similar to a poker CPA). What’s great is the perks obv…..

Anyways we’ve made a few sales on the first site, now it’s time to get them both rocking and rolling. I’m leaning more towards the wholesaling option because the sites that sell these things and their affiliate programs SUCK baloon sized balls.
In truth this is a great first project for Alicia to get her hands wet on, she’s done a little bit of the writing and will be doing most of the rest of it. I’ll teach her wordpress and she can rock and roll on it. Like I said before, we’ll report back once we get things moving along.

In other news I’m hardly even sure I’m a poker affiliate anymore – I send my 50 players a month like clockwork but I haven’t been able to break out and focus on a project long enough to bring things to fruition. Maybe this is a skill set I need to outsource, the finishing touches.

My betting sites don’t actually get much traffic yet, but I have a couple other sites like sportsbook deposit that got hammered – whatever players I had all seemed to bet on the Saints yesterday. At least it’s early in the month and I can hope that my players will try to “let it ride”. The action is super fun to watch, especially at sites that update stats in real time for all the players who bet on the flip or various other prop bets throughout the game.

I did so bad yesterday, I even had players who bet the gatorade poured on the winning coach would be the color orange! That said it was a fun day to keep stats remote open and watch the action, gave me new excitement to the game. I really need to learn more about betting online, there is a ton to learn and it can get complicated it seems – or at least it appears “overwhelming” for me.

I’m going to be doing a lot in internet betting in 2010, here’s hoping insights is wrong for once!

Poker is honestly starting to look like more work than it is worth compared to the ease of other markets and niches outside of gambling in general. I failed to find a great exact match poker site domain no matter how hard I tried – hell I bought all my other gambling domains while in pursuit as a side note. I’m bummed about it, because I think to REALLY be a player in the poker side of things, one needs a solid high traffic exact match to make a big dent without taking two years to get there.

My poker sites still do well don’t get me wrong, but I can see the door closing a little bit so to speak. Oh yea, speaking of great poker domains – check out Poker Download which Nick just scored, he’s been working hard on this niche for a long time so it’s cool to see him score the most premium domain possible. That’s a big domain and could literally make him a millionaire in the next five years. I still hope to find a huge one but I’ve all but given up at this point, the only one left available is 200k and that’s not in my neighborhood.

Alicia and I have the itch to travel again, so we’re trying to find things to do that don’t involve flying since I hate to fly. We are definately driving down to Panama City Beach over spring break, that will be fun but we will avoid most of the crazyness on our quiet end of the beach. We’ve also been itching to hit up an island just the two of us, so we’re looking into options. Maybe a cruise leaving from New Orleans, or possibly even driving as far as Tampa Bay or Jacksonville to jump a cruise from there, I’d really like to get to Jamaica without flying, so when I become a superaffiliate I’m going to pimp out a bus into a <del datetime="2010-01-04T23:30:22+00:00">party</del> poker affiliate office on wheels and also buy a big enough boat to get me 500-1,000 mile distances.

Here is how ballers who are geeked about flying travel.

And a boat like this should keep me getting where I want to go in due time, the cool thing is it would be easy to buckle down and get work done while jumping all over the place, doing most of my work during travel periods by making Alicia drive lol, and relaxing once we get to the spot. Lots of work to do and a lot of luck needed to make this jump obviously, but if it wasn’t for dreams like this I wouldn’t bust may ass trying to get there. Looking for big things in 2010.

Finally I found time to blog again! I hope to pick this back up and take it a bit more seriously this year, I should be able to reasonably stick to at least one post a week. With 2009 behind us I’m feeling motivated about improving my content and overall user experience involving poker sites and also think I’m well positioned for a lot of expansion this year. Switching half of my trackers over to CPA on the poker side is a nice boost in short term income, and I’m still growing things on the revshare end in sports, bingo, casino, and some poker in case something drastic happens.

It’s been a crazy lasts few months, I started over 50 new sites and <del datetime="2010-01-04T23:11:15+00:00">acquired</del> paid out of my ass for the best premium domains I could find left on the market. I am well positioned in several different markets, and even a few small things are off the ground outside of gaming. For the first time I have reliable help in posting news and fresh content on my sites, and I’ve been able to spend most of my time taking existing things to a better level.

I’m currently improving my poker deposit site, as a lot of the info is outdated and it’s rather unorganized. Mike Wittmeyer inspired me to dig my heels in and get to work, as he’s been working on a similar rebuild of PokerSite.org – that is a key thing in growing beyond earning “enough” to earning “a lot” is to be a perfectionist and constantly review and evaluate what you could do better on current pages, so there is a lot of that going on in my current situation.

Some of my new domains are looking to become great site, and I’m learning a lot about new markets like Betting Sites and even building an Online Casino Site for fun. My best domains are actually not online yet though, I’ve decided I’m going to build my best two after I get my current projects under control. I parked about 45 other domains too, for later development as we get around to it. I have no shortage of work to do in 2010, but I’m going to be a super affiliate by the end of the year – I can just feel it in my blood.

Some people might be aware that we are also launching an open source poker training site, working on that with some of the bigger names in the game and getting pretty excited. We are SO CLOSE on opening it, I got pretty deep into the coding and have had a really tough time settling on any type of user friendly layout/design. I’m not an expert at usability so it’s been really tough for me, and frustrating because 90% of the project was the custom admin and programming to get this site off the ground, but we own it top to bottom instead of having an off the shelf video solution that might have brick walls to run into that we haven’t considered.

It’s basically done but I have to get it looking sexy before I can release it to the world, so I’m both excited that we are close and frustrated that it has taken so long and so much $$$$ to get here. Coders will tell you tomorrow and get it done next month, I guess I need to start factoring that in my future planning lol.

Not much else going on except everything is on the upswing and I’ve got some real heaters warming up on the bench that are about to get there. Should be a fun experience seeing where 2010 takes me, I just know I want to have at least a month over 50k or I’ll feel like I failed.

I’m sure that I have written here before about my weaknesses, I try to do that at PAL a lot anyways, since it’s a public way to slap myself into reality and try to focus on the goals and tasks at hand. While I still think clearly defined goals and good work ethic towards them is still the surest path to affiliating successfully I have found a few ways to embrace my weaknesses as strengths.

I launch too many websites, on too many subjects, and way too many domains. I have a tough time focusing on one project at a time. I have found that by allowing myself an hour to throw up a quick website a day, I can cure that “itch” to launch new sites. I’ve also justified this by realizing that a domain becomes more valuable as it indexes and ages, so to justify my domain buying habit I make sure to get any good domain up with one page as fast as possible. Want examples? I’m happy to “point” them out (Most of them are in the poker deposits niche).

Poker Deposit Bonuses – This is a great .org domain that I’ve had tucked away in one of my accounts for a few months. I wish I had put one page a week on it instead of optimizing a few other sites for the term. Now that I have a much bigger developing budget compared to six months ago, I will try to filter in purchased content from a few quality writers for this domain to improve.

Poker SNG – a great .net that I really look forward to developing, I had a few random sit and go strategy articles in my inbox that I hadn’t currently used, so this website in it’s four page glory took me just a few minutes of work to put up.

Golf Betting – I’m wanting to improve my golf game, so spending $30 on a piece of content from a good writer helped me justify buying this domain. Now that is up and aging, it is gaining some value over time and I will be able to use it to leverage some other domains in the niche in a few months after it gains some trust.

Online Casino Site – this .com is definately a site I plan on putting some energy into in the near future, I (0ver)paid almost $2,000 for the domain because I’ve come to the belief that regardless of the power of a .org or .net to perform in the serps, in the coming social search environment the value of a .com that matches any type of phrase will increase quite a bit. For now it’s one growing page until I free up more time.

Blackjack Bonuses – I really should NOT have launched this domain, since I own Blackjack Bonus that needs serious improvement. I guess it’s a reasonable investment to pay someone $25 and slap it up for later, but my time could have been put to better use without a doubt.

I put up even more domains that that in the last week, but I’ll choose to write a second post for those. Bottom line, I “need” this time to be myself, the full blown ADD/OCD dude that I am. I find that by embracing this weakness, I actually can gain quite a bit of value from my portfolio. Plus, it’s almost like gambling in that you never knew when a domain will do really well suddenly which will help me steer future investments to the projects with the most potential.
